Estee Lauder Companies Executive Director, Package Development & Innovation – Retired

Award-winning package development professional with 30+ years’ multi-industry experience

While at ELC, Scott led the Makeup Category packaging innovation team, co-developing formula and package from concept inception.  While creating packaging engines for the lip, foundation, and moisturizer sub-categories, he also led deep-dive concept innovation programs and directed internal and external industrial design teams.

Before joining the Innovation group, Scott directed package development for the Tom Ford Beauty brand.  Taking concepts from sketch to launch, the team created luxury packaging in the fragrance, makeup, and skincare categories for the then $400 million TFB brand.

Scott’s team was responsible for feasibility cost analysis, component development & specification, package testing, and on-site production start-up at numerous international facilities; his expertise covers all cosmetic packaging materials and processes.

Prior to joining the Estee Lauder Companies in 2006, Scott was senior project engineer at an international manufacturer that specialized in molded plastic and metal packaging for the cosmetic industry, where he was responsible for complete project management.

Earlier positions included project engineering staff in the point of purchase display industry and industrial design consulting groups.
